This Privacy Policy explains what data hookd (“we”) collects when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email, and avatar from Google OAuth.
- Profile data: niche, audience, and any context you save in settings.
- Usage data: inputs you submit (topics, scripts, video URLs) and outputs the Service generates for you.
- Telemetry: basic logs and metrics about feature use, errors, and quota consumption.
- Billing: handled by Stripe; we do not store full card details on our servers.
How we use your data
- To run the Service and generate content you ask for.
- To enforce per-account quotas and prevent abuse.
- To improve quality, debug issues, and develop new features.
- To communicate with you about your account and important product updates.
Sub-processors
We use trusted vendors to operate hookd, including Supabase (database, auth), Anthropic and other model providers (AI inference), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Your data is processed by these vendors only as needed to deliver the Service.
AI training
We do not use your inputs or outputs to train third-party foundation models. Our model providers operate under zero-data- retention or no-training agreements where available.
Data retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can delete content from within the app, and you can request full account deletion by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@hookd.app.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you in-product or by email before the changes take effect.
